NFTY SOCAL Chesed Kallah & Elections

Friday, March 13 - Sunday, March 15

Elections 
This year, our Elections are on Friday, March 13th. The entire Elections process, including Meet the Candidates, caucusing, and Asefah, will take place on that Friday morning and afternoon. The next Regional Board will be elected and announced by Friday afternoon.

Chesed Kallah 
Following the NFTY SOCAL Elections will be Chesed Kallah. Chesed, the Hebrew word meaning loving-kindness, is the theme of our new event, Chesed Kallah! Chesed Kallah will be shaped around bonding and community experiences for SOCAL to grow even closer. You will not want to miss this unique event! This event is focused on strengthening community, bonding with old friends while connecting to new ones, making new traditions.

All participants are invited to attend both Elections and Chesed Kallah. Transportation will be provided to Elections and Chesed Kallah.

 

Scholarships:

Southern California teens are eligible for a scholarship through NFTY SOCAL.

Registration Opens: January 26th at 8pm!

Early Bird: $290
Register by February 2nd

Late Registration: $340
Register by March 3rd

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 9 to 12.


  • Registration is hosted by URJ Camp Newman. If you have attended a previous NFTY event or summer program at Camp Newman, you already have an account in our system.
  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and we cannot prorate registration.
  • A limited number of scholarship discounts are available for this event.

Transportation Information

Bus stops subject to change based on availability.

Bus transportation is provided from various locations in the region. Participants may travel by car if driven by a parent or guardian over the age of 21. 

Participants will receive a pre-event phone call within 1-2 weeks of the event. Participant Families will receive a pre-event email 1 week before the event. These confirmations include finalized travel information, packing list, contact information and other important event details.

A packing list will be emailed one week before the event.
