Leadership Kallah

March 2-4, 2018

Leadership Kallah is March 2-4 at Camp JCA Shalom in Malibu, CA. Better known as "LK," this event is a mash-up of our historical Elections process and leadership training initiatives, with a focus on regional elections, generational leadership and leadership development. You'll also get to: 

  • Enjoy a special teen-led musical t'fillah and an innovative and engaging mixer experience. 
  • Meet new people and see your friends from NFTY, Camp, Israel and Mitzvah Corps 
  • Attend a fun, interactive Saturday night activity 
  • "Unplug" from the stress of the semester and enjoy the peace and beauty of the outdoors at camp

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 9 to 12.


  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and unfortunately we cannot prorate registration.
  • Through the generosity of Peachy and Mark Levy, a couple dedicated to Reform Judaism and the Movement’s youth, a limited number of scholarship discounts are available for this event. View more information and apply online.

Bus stops subject to change based on availability. 

Bus transportation is provided from various locations in the region. Participants may travel by car if driven by a parent or guardian over the age of 21. 

Participants will receive a pre-event phone call within 1-2 weeks of the event. Participant Families will receive a pre-event email within 1-2 weeks of the event. These confirmations include finalized travel information, packing list, contact information and other important event details.

A packing list will be emailed within two weeks of the event.

If you need to cancel, the registration fees you paid will be refunded as follows:

Through February 1, 2018 – 90%
Through February 8, 2018 – 75%
Through February 15, 2018 – 50%

After February 15, 2018 we will not be able to issue any refunds for cancellation. If you have a documented medical emergency and must cancel after February 15, 2018 you will be refunded 75% of the registration fees you paid. Please note that we cannot offer credits in exchange of refunds.

All cancellation must be in writing. We will accept cancellations by email to nftysocal@urj.org. We’re sorry, but we cannot accept cancellations over the phone. Please allow up to six weeks after the conclusion of the event for your refund to be processed.
